Our Commitment
WallsBay is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards across our platform.
Keyboard Navigation
All core functionality on WallsBay is accessible via keyboard alone:
- Use Tab to navigate between interactive elements
- Use Enter / Space to activate buttons and links
- Use Arrow keys to navigate within components
- Use Escape to close modals and dropdowns
Screen Reader Support
WallsBay is designed to work with common screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and descriptive alt text on all images.
Visual Design
Our interface has been designed with visual accessibility in mind:
- Colour contrast ratios meet WCAG AA requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for body text)
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content
- We do not rely solely on colour to convey information
- Focus indicators are clearly visible on all interactive elements
Mobile Accessibility
Touch targets are a minimum of 44×44 pixels. Content reflows correctly at all zoom levels and supports dynamic text sizing on both iOS and Android.
Images and Media
All wallpaper images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked appropriately to be skipped by assistive technologies.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some third-party embedded content may not fully meet accessibility standards. We are actively working to address all known gaps.
Feedback and Contact
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of WallsBay. If you experience barriers or have suggestions, please contact us at [email protected] or use our Contact page. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
